For many years John was in charge of all the residents allotments.  He was very committed to the task and chaired quarterly meetings with all those concerned. He also himself dug over unattended or unallocated plots as he felt they spoilt the general impression of committed gardeners! He also  helped with summer watering  for those who were less able.

He was very supportive & appreciative of my JMG sessions  ( memory stimulation in a social enjoyable groups) He even joined us by Zoom (when  we were too many to meet socially) even in September after he came out of hospital. 

He will be much missed  always cheerful and friendly to all.       ( from Jennifer)
